PACE Announces new update for VAPS XT OpenGL SC 2.0 Platform Support Delivering Expanded Capabilities and Enhanced Rendering Performance

Latest release introduces broader feature support and further optimizes the rendering pipeline to maximize performance and visual quality for VAPS XT-generated applications.

Berlin, Germany – July 2026 – PACE today announced the availability of a significant update to the VAPS XT OpenGL SC 2.0 Porting Layer, delivering expanded support for advanced graphics capabilities and introducing further optimizations to the rendering pipeline. The new release enables developers to achieve even higher levels of performance, responsiveness, and visual fidelity when deploying Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications created with VAPS XT on OpenGL SC 2.0 -based platforms.

As aerospace, defense, and industrial applications continue to demand increasingly sophisticated graphical user interfaces, the latest SC 2 .0 Porting Layer update strengthens VAPS XT’s ability to deliver rich, high-performance visual experiences while maintaining the reliability and efficiency required by mission-critical environments.

“Performance and visual quality are key requirements for next-generation HMI systems,” said Andrea Bassi, Head of HMI & Embedded Graphics at PACE. “This update to the VAPS XT OpenGL SC 2.0 Porting Layer reflects our ongoing commitment to providing customers with the best possible graphics performance while ensuring seamless portability and scalability across target platforms.”

”Modern GPU’s use programmable shaders to allow developers to harness the processing power they provide. Our engineering team analyzed the needs of a modern HMI and designed an optimized pipeline that match those needs.“ said Matt Jackson, Technical Product Manager HMI & Embedded Graphics at PACE. “By focusing on how an HMI functions instead of generic graphics the visual clarity and appearance is improved with the benefit of increase in performance.”

Key Enhancements

The latest release introduces several important improvements, including:

 - Expanded support for advanced graphics features, enabling developers to leverage a broader range of visual capabilities within VAPS XT applications.
 - Rendering pipeline optimizations designed to reduce processing overhead and improve overall graphics throughput.
- Enhanced frame rendering efficiency, enabling smoother animations and more responsive user interfaces.
- Improved resource utilization, maximizing the performance potential of available hardware resources.
- Higher visual fidelity, delivering sharper graphics, improved consistency and an enhanced user experience.
- Seamless integration with existing VAPS XT projects, allowing customers to benefit from the latest enhancements with minimal migration effort.

Maximizing Performance and Quality

The updated OpenGL SC2.0 Porting Layer has been engineered to help organizations fully exploit the capabilities of modern graphics hardware while maintaining the portability and productivity advantages that have made VAPS XT a leading solution for HMI development.

By streamlining critical rendering operations and optimizing data flow throughout the graphics pipeline, the new release helps reduce latency and improve rendering consistency, particularly in graphics-intensive applications. These enhancements allow developers to create visually rich and responsive HMIs without compromising system performance.
