PACE America to present technical paper at premier Dassault Systemes PLM solutions user event
April 12, 2010PACE America, a leading provider of knowledge based engineering software, has been invited to present a technical paper entitled "A new design methodology for the development and optimization of systems architectures for unmanned systems" at the COE 2010 Annual PLM Conference & TechniFair. PACE experts Glenn Reis and Mathias Emeneth are scheduled to speak in the Engineering Analysis & Simulation track from 1:10pm to 3:00pm on Monday, April 19.
PACE's presentation will address the daunting challenges of configuring both external and internal systems of the UAS platform for optimal aerodynamic and mission performance. The session will feature a demonstration of their conceptual design tool Pacelab APD that utilizes a UAV design generated within CATIA v5. The demonstration will illustrate how parametric sub-system components developed within the PACE environment can be rapidly assembled into candidate systems architectures and execute trades and optimization studies at the vehicle level. This holistic, early stage model-based approach ensures that internal and external systems are optimized to meet vehicle performance and mission objectives.
Because of the widespread interest in the PACE solution, there will be two consecutive sessions in the Miranda Room #5 on Monday, April 19. The first session will be at 1:10-2:00pm, and the second session at 2:10-3:00pm. The session numbers are 402 KMS – KBE and 403 KMS – KBE, respectively.
"Our presence at the COE conference continues to encourage our development of this important systems capability. With the ever increasing complexity of internal and external systems of today’s UAS, the need to more effectively model and investigate systems architectures and their behaviors is critical", states Glenn Reis.
