The Airline & Aerospace MRO & Operations IT Conference is the only event to wholly address the key issues relating to the development of IT and its application in maintenance and aircraft flight operations. It provides a one-stop solutions for airlines, aircraft operators and MROs seeking to implement or discover more about how new technology can streamline and increase their MRO and operating efficiency.
Fuel Think Tank
Fuel costs are the number one expense in the airline industry today, and the latest IATA forecast anticipates them to further rise to 29% of the total operating cost in 2011 (2010: 26%). To encourage a discussion about fuel saving strategies that cuts across company and airline alliance lines, PACE and partner Lufthansa Consulting have initiated the Fuel Think Tank. This series of workshops brings together small and large airlines' fuel conservation experts and ATC delegates to learn from each other and to develop practical recommendations for successful fuel management.
Key questions
Facilitated by Lufthansa Consulting’s airline operations specialists, delegates use the Fuel Think Tank as a forum to argue alternative perspectives and challenge prevailing assumptions about fuel conservation. Key questions include:
- What are others’ best practices?
- How to locate fuel savings opportunities?
- How to implement an efficient fuel management program?
- How to overcome department barriers?
- How to deal with ATC?
- Alternative fuel projects
To establish a lasting dialog between the participants, the Fuel Think Tank is held twice a year in loose sequence. The next event is planned to be held in Majorca, Spain – check back regularly for more details.
